Spin & Trim held in the studio at Xercise Fitness Haxby is ideally suited for all levels of fitness and experience.
The great thing about Spin & Trim is that you are in complete control at all times, you control the resistance  and you control your own pace.
During the class your qualified instructor will take you through hills, sprints and intervals encouraging you to challenge yourself and achieve your goals.

Boxercise is for everyone:

Whatever your size, shape or sex. Classes take a variety of formats but a typical class may involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads, press-ups, shuttle-runs and sit-ups. Our boxercise classes are aimed at all ages and fitness standards.

As no class involves the physical hitting of an opponent, it is a fun, challenging and safe workout.


5:45 pm Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s

Studio based class using our easy to use soft grip weighted bars, BODYBLAST is a fantastic way to burn calories and an excellent way to tone and shape your body.
Works all your major muscle groups,  strengthens and tones your body.
Ignite your  metabolism and burn calories long after you finish your class.


7:00am Tuesday and Friday

What is H.I.I.T?

High Intensity Interval Training or H.I.I.T  as we all call it uses a selection of the best compound bodyweight exercises sequenced together in short intense bursts interspersed with lower intensity periods of recovery

Surely only really fit people can do a H.I.I.T session?

We are all individual and possess different strengths and weaknesses .The really great thing about Interval Training at Xercise Fitness Haxby is that every exercise used can be adjusted by regression or progression to suit the participant’s fitness levels and experience.

Your instructor will ensure you are working at a level that is appropriate for you. And, the really great news is, as you become fitter,  the harder you can work out and the more calories you can torch!

Exclusively for women and held in the studio, Weights 4 Women uses specialised weighted bars and small dumbbells give additional resistance over standard bodyweight training.

Stretch & Core your way to a more flexible and toned body.

Progressively stretch  major muscle groups while ensuring core engagement, tone your Abs , glutes, legs and arms.

Tone, Tighten and Firm with the ultimate lower body workout.

With a maximum class size of 8 Legs-Bums-Tums feels like your own private studio workout.

Legs-Bums-Tums targets those stubborn areas using your own body weight, join us – feel the burn – feel those results


8am Every Sunday

A high energy, intense workout, designed for the determined goal setters. You are able to workout at your own personal level, but naturally, people tend to give a little bit more in these fantastic workouts.

We combine exciting, challenging, and dynamic exercises to ensure every part of the body is worked. When we add our passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the session, you get an incredible “fat attack” that will get results like never before.

Keep Fit Gold

The class is light aerobic exercise involving, bending , stretching, reaching together with resistance work using light weights and other light gym equipment.
This is a class for the more mature amongst us, we have participants from the age of 50 up to age 87…

Programme Reviews

The gym team are always available to help you achieve your goals, so make sure you take full advantage of your reviews. This is an opportunity to change your programme and review your goals and targets. Make sure you book in for your review and utilise this great boost to your training. It is vital to challenge yourself periodically, and this facility is fast disappearing from the large health clubs in York. Not us though!

One to One Instruction

One to One instruction is available at no charge to Xercise Fitness members with any of our Personal Trainers. Simply ask for more information about the benefits of these extremely focused and effective sessions.

Group Excercise

Xercise Fitness members can book group classes at no additional cost with any of our trainers. Put the fun back into training and train with your personal friends. You will be amazed how much you will get out of these sessions.

Technique Reviews

Designed for members looking to check their technique and perhaps learn new and exciting exercises to add to their programme. They are usually held on an afternoon when the gym tends to be a little more quite. Ideal for members who maybe look at other members doing strange exercises and wonder what they are for. We will always be on hand to help you at any time, but for a more intense look at your technique, join in one of the friendly, informative technique workshops.
